What is skin health?
Skin inside out
Well, our skin is the largest organ in the body it's very clever but it's also very lazy. It likes simple direction and needs constant stimulation to keep progressing forward through its life cycle. It's designed to protect other organs by keeping things out. So whatever you put on your skin, your skin cells need to recognize it and understand what to do with it if they're going to let it in.
The skin has various layers and they all have different roles to play in communicating from the inside out and then the out inside. As we age, this communication slows down, and also picks up bad habits.
So certain structures like collagen begin to fade away and the glue that holds skin cells together begins to wear out.
So it's heavily influenced by you immune system and it can easily get confused and as it tries to sort of struggle to communicate as well as it used to, such as holding on to moisture & nutrients and regeneration gets harder as we age.
So if you want to keep your younger looking skin then you need to focus on the overall health of your skin cells rather than relying on a pot of cream or just drinking water to keep your skin cells healthy and active. You need to keep stimulating the give them clear direction of what to do and present ingredients that it recognizes to absorb and what to do with the absorbed nutrients, how to protect themselves and when to die.
Remember it's really important to invest in your skin rather than just skin care to achieve brighter firmer looking skin.
