How does KumaShape™ work?

KumaShape™ uses RF to precisely target and heat fatty tissues within the treatment area. In addition, the vacuum and tissue manipulation evens out the skin to reveal a smoother figure.

On what body areas can I be treated for Circumference Reduction?

With KumaShape™, you can be treated on body areas such as the thighs and buttocks. The two applicators (KSmooth & KContour) on the KumaShape™ device are designed for large and small body areas; therefore, treatment is safe and effective.

How quickly will I notice a change?

Gradual improvement of the treated area can be seen following the first treatment - with the skin surface of the treated area feeling smoother. Results in Circumference and Cellulite Reduction will be most apparent 6-8 weeks following the final treatment session. 5 sessions is recommended

How many inches can I reduce from my circumference?

In clinical studies, patients report an average reduction of about 1 inch post treatment series. In clinical trials, the range of Circumferential Reduction was between 0.5-3 inches.

How do I improve and maintain the KumaShape™ results?

Following your complete treatment regimen, it is recommended to get maintenance treatments periodically. Like all non-surgical or surgical techniques, results will last longer if you follow a balanced diet and exercise regularly.

Is treatment safe?

CE cleared the device as safe and effective for all skin types and colors. Short term effects can include mild bruising or redness.

Does this treatment suit me?

The majority of the population is suitable for receiving the KumaShape™ treatment. You should consult with your physician prior to receiving treatments.

What is the feeling during treatment?

Most patients claim that the treatment is pleasant, followed by a deep heating sensation beneath their skin.

Does the treatment hurt?

Most patients find KumaShape™ treatments comfortable - like a warm deep tissue massage. The treatment is designed to accommodate your sensitivity and comfort level. It is normal to experience a warm sensation for a few hours post treatment. Your skin may also appear redder than usual for several hours, and slight bruising might be visible.

Who is the ideal candidate?

  • The client should be in good health at the time of the appointment, with no pre-existing health conditions. If the client displays signs of cold or flu the treatment should be rescheduled.
  • Client’s skin should not be inflamed in the area we are treating prior to procedure.
  • Clients with diabetes, healing disorders or lymphatic draining issues should not undergo treatment.
  • Clients with a sunburn should postpone treatment.
  • The client must not display herpes simplex (cold sores when working in the lip area). It is recommended they consult with their medical doctor and begin taking the prescription 4 days prior to treatment and 4 days following treatment.
  • If the client has AIDS or any other immune deficiency disease, or taking drugs that damage immune system, it is recommended they consult with their medical doctor
  • If the client wears a pacemaker or defibrillator avoid treatment.
  • Clients who are pregnant or breastfeeding should not undergo treatment.
  • It is recommended to avoid treatment it:​
  • If the client has metal or other implantations in treatment areas.
  • If the clients has or ever had or is experiencing skin cancer or any other types of cancer. Patient having nevus that has the possibility of cancerisation.
  • If the client has severe complications, such as cardiac arrhythmia.
  • If the client has a disease that may stimulated by this device’s laser light.
  • Any following symptoms exist in the treatment area: sore, psoriasis, eczema, rash.
  • Clients having hemorrhage and coagulation history or using anticoagulation.
  • Having taken Isotretinoin in 6 months or any drugs or herbs, such as tetracycline and hyperforin in 2 weeks, which may induce photosensitivity.
  • Clients have taken facial laser treatment and deeper layer chemical peeling treatment in three months is not allowed to taken facial treatment again.
  • Clients have taken surgery in treatment area or still in recovering in 3 months.

What are the KumaShape™ advantages compared to other methods?

All KumaShape™ treatments are preceded by a free 15-minute consultation. During this consultation the practitioner will do an individual assessment and your treatment requirements could be discussed in detail.

What if I am not sure?

The client shall consult doctor about possible side effects if not sure. Only with doctor’s confirmation signature, can the client be allowed to take operation. A small area will be treated firstly before formal treatment. Several days later,evaluate and confirm that client could take this treatment without any adverse effects.

How long is a treatment session?

All Kuma™ treatments are scheduled for 45-60 minutes. Sessions start with a consultation in order to do an individual assessment of the desired treatment area, go through a medical checklist, the consent form, and provide pre-treatment advice. At the start of the session, before-pictures, measure & weight will be taken. The treatment area will be mapped while the client is in standing position. The cellulite or outline may change if patient is lying down.The treatment itself will last 30-60 minutes, depending on the area to be treated.

What should I do after the treatment?

Drink 8 - 10 glasses of water;Light exercise; Eat healthy

How soon could I do the next treatment?

4-6 treatments are advised for optimal results. It is recommended to take treatment at least once a week in 2 months. Twice a week can also be acceptable. For maintaining therapeutic effects, continuous treatment in one month is necessary in accordance with differences between different people. A new treatment session may begin after 6 weeks to 3 months.
