As per NSW government new regulations, if you have returned from Victoria, please self-isolate for 14 days. Once you have completed your isolation and have no symptoms of illness you are welcome to make an appointment at Omorfia.

COVID Safety measures for professional treatments from June 1

We’re very pleased to announce that we will be returning to full business and professional service delivery from Monday June 1, 2020.

As per the recent NSW government, skin and body therapy clinics can re-open for business, which is great news for our community.

During the shutdown period, all Omorfia team members have undergone training and are now Australian Government Infection Control Training – COVID 19 and Dermalogica Clean Touch Certified. In addition, we have added a number of new measures to our already vigilant hygiene protocols. Key protocols for ensuring your safety are as follows:

Bookings are via phone, email or in-person (NOT online)

To ensure we can adequately screen clients and stagger appointments to maximise physical distancing, we will not be taking online bookings when we re-open. All bookings need to be made over the phone, via email or in-person.

Pre-treatment screening

We pre-screen clients and employees for sickness, overseas travel and contact with confirmed COVID-19 cases. If you are experiencing any symptoms of illness, or have been overseas or have come in contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case in the last 14 days, you will need to reschedule your appointment.

All clients and employees are required to undergo a contactless temperature check on arrival at Omorfia. If a temperature reading greater than 37.5 degrees celsius is recorded, service will be declined and the client/team member will need to return home. If a client or employee refuses to have their temperature checked, they will be declined service/not be able to remain at work.

We recommend that clients in high-risk, vulnerable groups not get treatments.

We also strongly recommend all clients and team members to download the COVID-Safe app and keep it active whilst at Omorfia.

Physical distancing 

Omorfia team members, clients and guests of Omorfia will be required to maintain physical distancing in common areas of 1.5m and a 4 square metre ratio per person ratio whilst in Omorfia, with no more than 10 clients on premises at any one time. Clients and guests may be instructed to wait outside if clinic capacity has been reached.

Manicures will be conducted in a treatment room rather than in the reception area to maximise distancing between clients.

Please consider the safety of our community and attend your appointment alone.

Personal Protective Equipment

Omorfia team members will wear clean masks in common areas and treatment rooms. Aprons, gloves and face shields will also be worn in treatment rooms during treatment rooms as per good hygiene protocols.

General Hygiene

At Omorfia:

  • We wash and sanitise hands on arrival and then repeatedly throughout the day, including before and after coming in contact with a client.
  • We disinfect professional use products after each use.
  • Our beds are clean with freshly laundered linens for each client.
  • We clean and disinfect all equipment and surfaces before use.
  • We store clean and dirty items and tools separately.
  • We disinfect high-touch areas at least hourly.
  • We clean retail testers before and after use, and apply testers to disposable applicators when providing clients with samples.

Omorfia’s Wellness Policy

As listed as part of Omorfia’s terms and conditions on our website. Omorfia’s Wellness Policy states that clients and guests must reschedule their appointment if they show any symptoms of illness. Omorfia reserves the right to refuse service to anyone who presents with symptoms of illness, contraindications for treatment, or health conditions beyond our scope of practice. Should a client arrive for their appointment knowing they are unwell, Omorfia reserves the right to decline service and still charge 50% of the treatment fee.

Should you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment because you are unwell, please let us know as soon as possible.  Our general cancellation and reschedule policy is that clients provide 24 hours notice should they wish to cancel or reschedule an appointment that’s 1.5 hours or less, and 48 hours notice if the appointment is 2 hours or more, otherwise cancellation fees apply. However, when it comes to illness we generally waive the cancellation fee if the illness or symptoms have come on suddenly.

COVID-19 shutdown

Thank you for all your support to date, unfortunately, with the tight new government restrictions, Omorfia’s final day of delivering services before the COVID-19 shutdown period was Wednesday 25th March.

Our retail products will still be available for purchase but we will be operating on reduced business hours. Please ring ahead on 94167723 for product pick-up, or, if you’re within the local area, you can place an order over the phone and we can deliver it to your home if you live in Roseville, Lindfield, Killara or Gordon.

We’re unsure when the government will lift the restrictions, but until then we will be posting self care tips you can do at home on our instagram and facebook pages. Please follow and join us for a little bit of relaxation and rejuvenation at home.

Gift Vouchers available at Omorfia

Our team at Omorfia love being able to provide skin and body therapy treatments as a gift for someone special. In the past we have offered vouchers for any treatments available on the menu as well as for a dollar value. We found that an expiry period between 6-12 months kept the voucher at front of mind and was more likely to be used by the recipient rather than lost or forgotten.

With the change in regulations that came into effect on March 31, 2018 we are no longer able to offer gift vouchers for treatments on our menu only for dollar values. The reason for this change is that it isn’t feasible to hold pricing for three years on any treatment due to increases in service delivery costs annually. We are, however, able to offer gift vouchers for a dollar value with an expiry period of 3 years.

At certain times we may also offer Gift Vouchers for limited time treatment packages. These may be part of limited time specials,  as part of promotions, as a bonus to the purchase of products or services,  or donations we have provided for use in local fundraising initiatives. These vouchers may have reduced expiration periods and will be as noted on the voucher.

All Gift Vouchers purchased prior to March 31, 2018 have an expiry period as stated on the voucher, which is for an expiration period of 6-12 months, unless otherwise stated. If the recipient wishes to use the voucher for a treatment other than what is stated on the Gift Voucher, it will be subject to approval by Omorfia’s Manager. If the voucher is for a specific treatment package, the treatments must be booked together and not separated out, unless otherwise stated.

Omorfia gift vouchers can not be redeemed for cash.

Lindfield Village Green and council carpark update

After widespread opposition from our Lindfield residents and business community, Ku-ring-Gai council agreed to increase the carpark in their proposed Lindfield Village Green development to three levels. The plans are now available for review, and our community has until this Friday 13th April to comment. Unfortunately, the gain in spaces is not necessarily a win. Why? We’ve tried to sum it up below, but please take the time to read the reports and help council get it right.

The snapshot

  • With the additional carpark level, council has increased the overall car spaces from 181 to 241, which is an increase of 55 short term spaces – taking the number of spaces to 136, which is the same amount as we have now.
  • They have also made an amendment to Condition 1 relating to commuter parking.

Are we better off?

  • We currently have 136 short term car spaces which is not enough to cope with the current demand.
  • The proposed new kiosk on the Village Green has been allocated 10 spaces, which means there’s actually a reduction in overall car space supply for visitors to existing businesses and community facilities under the new plan.
  • Council has not revised it’s interim car park plans whilst the new carpark is being developed.  The previous interim parking proposal was based on figures from an obsolete traffic report that stated the current carpark was under utilised and as a result only sought alternate measures for 67 cars. This included recommending people park in the new spaces underneath Harris Farm and IGA. As we’re already experiencing overflow issues from visitors to Harris Farm into the Tryon Rd carpark, this interim plan is not feasible.
  • Council has not highlighted how they are going to fund the additional level. In previous public meetings regarding the carpark there was mention of making spaces for one hour for free and then charging people if they stayed longer. Most of the current spaces (70%) are 2 hour spaces.
  • The car space width is proposed to be 2.6m for short term spaces and 2.4m for commuter spaces – given many of the community drives larger vehicles, these widths leave very little room to get into and out of cars without impacting adjacent cars, as is often the case in the current carpark.

Skin sensitivity risk

Sensitive skin means something different to everyone. Some people experience mild, occasional flare-ups, while others suffer from ongoing intense redness and discomfort.
